So Much Stress: A Poem

So much stress,
so much stress.
It’s been building for a while.

So much stress,
too much stress,
…has made my sanity run wild.

I want to pull my hair out,
I want to let out a scream.
I want to be able to open my eyes,
and pretend it was all a horrible dream.

For now, I’ll sit and wait,
until the hour finally arrives,
when all these hoodlums run on home,
and I can let the ball of stress unwind.
