I guess this is my first blog post of 2017. Yay! I hope y’all had a great holiday season; happy and safe, right..? Right?! …okay. So, the boyfriend and I were supposed to go to this NYE party at a friend’s place; Cards Against Humanity & drinks — sounds like fun, right? Well, due to some unforeseen circumstances, the party is canceled. That’s fine; the boyfriend and I then decided to play video games.
The very first day into the new year, I had work. Now, I went in with an open mind, a positive attitude, yada-yada. This elderly man came thru to get his groceries, and I’m being my polite, professional, relatively-chipper self…making small-talk, in the midst. I ring him up, tell him his total, and finish putting his groceries in the plastic bag. The last item was a loaf of bread, so to save on bags for this gentleman (using that term very loosely), I stick the bread on top of the heavier items in the bag and double-bag. He then requests that I put the bread in a separate bag, going on to say, “Jesus Christ! Didn’t anyone train you to put bread in a separate bag?! I don’t want it to get squashed!” …and left in a huff.
That killed my mood right-quick. I knew what to do, and I thought he’d have been grateful that I thought to put his bread loaf on top of his heavier groceries. It’s not like the bread would’ve gotten squashed if it was on top, right?? I was so frustrated; I wish I could’ve taken that loaf of bread, wadded it up, and threw it in his jerk-ass face…but then, that might’ve gotten me fired. I don’t know. Frustration! I don’t deal with rude people very well. I feel like, if you have a bad attitude, just stay home. Or even better, go out into nature and breathe. Don’t infect other people with your piss-poor disposition. (Sorry, rant over.)
So, I probably have said this before, but work hours have been cut, for me — well, for everyone who works with me, because it’s the “slowest time of the year”. It makes me worried, because everyone has bills. I have gone from working nearly full-time, to being part-time. What the hell?? I just hope my schedule picks back up soon.
Anyhow, I guess that’s all for now. Let me know what y’all would like to see in the New Year with this blog. My main “resolution” is to exercise my camera more — no, I don’t mean my phone camera, but my actual camera. That thing doesn’t get enough use. So maybe, maybe I’ll post more photos on my blog. I don’t know. Again, let me know what you guys think, in the comments below.
Until next time! ❤ ❤
