I feel like I’ve been doing a LOT of this, being M.I.A. for weeks-on-end, only rarely posting little blurbs, whether it be a short-ass post or a photo. I kick myself for this, and for the life of me, I’ve tried to adapt a “posting schedule”, but to no avail. I’m so surprised I’ve been able to keep up with this blog for as long as I have, and I’m so impressed with how many readers I’ve accumulated (and I appreciate every single one of you). I will get better at this posting issue; I’m thinking on getting a planner. Maybe that’ll help me out. Will keep you posted on how that works out.
So, where the heck have I been? Let’s say this; life has gotten in the way, once again. busy and not busy at work, boyfriend’s birthday was about 5 days ago, dividends came in recently (if you’re from Alaska, you know what I mean), and now I’m trying to figure out how to treat ourselves to a vacation/stay-cation in the near future.
A couple of weeks ago, our local SCA group had our annual Newcomer’s Feast, welcoming any newcomers, explaining what the group is and what we do, and there was a decent-sized turnout. And every year, there’s a theme. Last year, it was something to do with making little pouches and cording; this year, it was “Dragons In Any Mode”, and I drew a dragon tribal tattoo in pencil for the Arts & Sciences contest, and then I painted a similar dragon in watercolor for the silent auction that was going on during dinner. […oh my gods, I hope that wasn’t the worst run-on sentence known to man.]
Today, I’ve got my weekly game night to go to; my friend K. is running a D&D 5th Edition campaign, and we have a friend from another kingdom in the SCA visiting us for the evening. T. rolled him up as a human wizard, so we shall see how this goes.
Anyhow, I hope y’all have been enjoying your October so far. As I said before, I appreciate every single one of my readers so, so much, and I’m so glad that y’all have stuck with me thru the M.I.A.-ness and lack of content. I promise, I’ll be working on that. I hope you all have a wonderful day and I’ll be back soon.
Until next time! ❤ ❤
