Why, Hello Stranger! (Yet Another Catching-Up Entry)

Hey friends!

Well, this last week was full of me being kind of lazy (well, in the sense that I didn’t hit the gym once). However, I did bust my hump with work-related things and also with going on my walks. I ended up taking three walks last week! This week, I’ll be going to the gym (hopefully, if all goes to plan) tonight, tomorrow night, Wed. night & Thursday night. We’ll see; work can be an unforgiving place, sometimes.

Speaking of work, I have a couple of coworkers who will be out of town for most of next week, so I’m hoping to get their hours kicked my way. I always love getting pretty big paychecks; those always make me feel good! 😀

My aunt arrived in town yesterday afternoon for a short visit (she’ll only be here till tomorrow, sadly)…but luckily, we were able to sit down and chat a bit at our usual coffee spot soon after her plane landed. That made me feel really good, seeing as how during her last few visits were so busy [on her end] that we didn’t get the chance to catch-up.

I hope to get some good workouts in, today. Maybe one day I’ll prove to myself that the stair-stepper is not my nemesis, but rather, a means of challenging myself. [I still curse that thing like no other…]

Monday Gym Time? Nope.

Hey friends.

Y’all might be a smidge disappointed in me to learn that yesterday’s gym time didn’t happen. (…say what?) That’s right…no gym time. More unforeseen circumstances got thrown into the mix, and I guess that was a good thing.

The night before, I’d stayed at my friend M.’s place. Yesterday morning, all I really had for breakfast was a salad, half of a bowl of oatmeal, and a grande almond joy white mocha (bad Seana, drinking in those calories!). That being said, I was quite jittery by the time work was about ready to wrap up, yesterday afternoon, due to the over-caffeination and not eating enough for breakfast.

When I got home from work yesterday, I had myself a grilled turkey & shredded mexican cheese sandwich. I felt pretty darn good after that (jitters went down quite a bit). That just re-reminded me that I need to eat a full meal before putting coffee into my system.

Now, you know that if I don’t go to the gym, I’m usually set to either do some arm work with my dumbbells or go for my 40-minute walk. “Did you get it done, Seana?” …sadly, no. I will get this done though, if I don’t have gym time again tonight. I have to.

Lastly, the boyfriend’s feeling tons better!! I’m so glad he isn’t sick anymore. AND I felt like makin’ myself all pretty today with a face of makeup (concealer/eye primer/eye liner/eyeshadow/lipstick). 😀

Lazy Weekend (Whoops!)

Hey all!

So, I was supposed to go to the gym on (I believe) Friday/Saturday with my sister, but due to some unforeseen circumstances, that didn’t happen. Instead, I took that as “okay, this is my chance to rest/be lazy”. OMG, you guys…I didn’t realize that lazy feeling was going to last all weekend! On top of that, my boyfriend ended up getting a cold, so I was kinda playing the good-girlfriend role & taking care of him, having him drink off-brand Mucinex every 4 hours.

Yesterday made up for it (at least, I thought so); I was able to go do some laundry at dad’s and then I took my 40-minute walk. Afterwards, my bestie called and said she was “stealing me for the night” to hang out and watch “Naked & Afraid” (newer survival show). Question: Who else has watched this show? Do you like it?


Here’s the workout schedule for this week:

Monday: Gym (6PM – ?) & Optional Walk (30 min. minimum)
Tuesday: Gym (6PM – ?) & Optional Walk (30 min. minimum)
Wednesday: Walk (45 min. minimum) & Dumbbell Work
Thursday: Gym (6PM – ?) & Optional Walk (30 min. minimum)
Friday: Gym (6PM – ?) & Optional Walk (30 min. minimum)
Saturday: Rest? or Optional Walk (30 min. minimum) or Work Out w/ M.
Sunday: Rest?  or Optional Walk (30 min. minimum)

Yesterday’s Gym Time

Hey friends!

So, here’s a short report on my time at the gym yesterday evening:

Stair-Stepper: 3 mins.
Treadmill (at 3 mph): 8 mins.
Staitionary Bike: 3 mins.
Bench (Chest) Press Machine: 10×2, 30 lbs.

After the gym, I still had a bit of energy, so I recruited my guy to go for a walk with me. Unfortunately, I found that I might not’ve stretched out well enough, as my thigh was really bugging me, so we only ended walking a leisurely 10 minutes. (On a good note, I found some salmonberries on the side of the trail we were walking, so I stopped for a bit finding the perfect ones to pick and nom on. 😀 ) …if you live in Alaska, you’ll know what salmonberries are.

That’s all I have to report so far. More gym time tomorrow! Got a walk planned for today, and since my leg still sort of hurts, I will do my best to take it easy…or just stretch out real well before my walk.
